Made in Aotearoa/New Zealand from reclaimed Rimu floorboards, finished with a Mānuka Oil Wood Conditioner.
These have been salvaged from an old villa and so bear the markings of their former life. Some will include nail holes, cracks, and marks. Although all the nails have been removed, where they once were is marked by ebonised “shadows”. These ghost marks are created when the iron in the nails reacts with the tannins in the wood. Over many years, this chemical reaction stains the wood, leaving the markings behind long after the nails have been removed. They are intentionally included to honour the history of the wood, and the journey it has been on.

Each incense holder is hand-crafted individually, and thus the colour of the timber and grain will vary. All measurements are approximate, and there may be slight variations in shape and size between each individual piece.
