All pieces are hand-made, and crafted individually. I always aim to provide detailed photos before purchase whenever possible, but please consider your purchase carefully before checkout.
Orders cannot be cancelled or returned for a refund at point due to change of mind, unless the piece is faulty.
Some pieces may include natural cracks, bark, nail holes, or borer tracks. These are considered natural characteristics of the wood, not faults or defects.
Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable under all circumstances.
If you’d like to know more, please read our full Returns/Refunds/Exchanges policy here.

At this stage, I am only offering shipping through NZ Post to NZ/Aotearoa addresses only.
However, if you are an international customer and there is something that tickles your fancy that you really MUST have, then you may like to consider a freight-forwarding service.
For NZ customers:
I strive to get your item wrapped, packed and shipped within 2-3 business days. From there, the responsibility lies with NZ Post. If you need something urgently or for a special occasion, please factor in their wait times accordingly.
Please check your parcel’s status occasionally so that you don’t miss your delivery. In the event you miss the delivery, or do not collect in time from your local depot, then the re-delivery fee is not covered if the parcel gets sent back to me.
Our default shipping option is signature required. We can send items without signature at the customers request, but without signature, I cannot take responsibility if items are subsequently lost or stolen.
If you/your building has an ATL (authority to leave) to override the signature required & your package is stolen after delivery, unfortunately I am not able to take responsibility for this. If this was to occur, please file a report of theft with the police and contact your home and contents insurer.

I only use low VOC, food-safe finishes on my work. The reason I have chosen to do this is so they are safe to be in your home and around your family. I also want the wood to feel like wood, not plastic, so I choose to only have a soft matte finish rather than a high-shine gloss. The finishes I use are: tung oil, beeswax, or a Mānuka oil wood conditioner.

Many of these pieces are made with salvaged and reclaimed wood. This comes from repurposed furniture, historical villas, ex-construction materials, and timber salvaged from arborists or fallen trees. As such, they exhibit scars and marks from their history and journey before me.
Floorboards and studs often contain nail holes, which have blackened from the tannins wood contacting the iron nails. If these boards have already been repurposed once before, they may also include traces of glue.
Fallen trees often bear the marks of slight decay: spalting lines from fungi competing to colonise the wood, or borer tracks from insects.
*Please note that any wood with borer marks has been treated through a freeze/thaw/refreeze process which kills any active bugs and their larvae without the use of chemical pesticides.
Some pieces may also have cracks. Cracks are primarily formed when the wood dries over many months or years, as the outer dries faster than the inner core. This can stretch and warp the wood, and the resulting force can create splits. I often deliberately include cracks in the larger raised platters and bowls as a point of interest, and to honour the tree by not wasting pieces that are slightly split. However I endeavour to use wood that has already completed it’s drying process, so (if well cared for) your piece should ideally not crack further.
Nevertheless, if cared for improperly (eg: placed in direct sunlight or in excessively wet/humid conditions like a dishwasher), you may find that the wood warps or cracks.
